Species
The six main species follow in order of creation. Homo nocturnus aryani - The Aryan, or Indian vampire. H.n. egyptus - The Egyptian Vampire. H.n. draculaneus - The Vampyre from House of Night, so named for a story from the past. Rather funny, actually. H.n. rayni - The Western European Vampire. Aryan Vampire
Origin: India, 30,000 years ago, near the Indus River. Strengths: extremely fast and strong. Immune to death by all means except objects thrust through the heart or the brain and left there. Any object can do the trick. Can survive being submerged in boiling water, or being frozen solid and thawed. Stitch. Weaknesses: young ones extremely sensitive to sunlight. Sensitivity decreases with age. after 30,000 years, individuals still become drowzy at high noon. Quirks: retain soul upon turning. no noticeable fangs. Method of turning: drain victim, then perform intravenous blood transfusion. Available characters: None.

Egyptian Vampire
Origin: Ancient Egypt. Strengths: flight, extreme strength and speed increasing with age, invulnerable to all stabbing attacks. extremely sensitive eyesight, hearing, and sense of smell. Weaknesses: fatally allergic to sunlight, highly flammable, fate of all offspring determined by condition of original two. Quirks: permanent fangs. Method of Turning: victim drinks vampire's blood. Western European Vampire
Origin: Western Europe, middle ages. Strengths: can reproduce naturally with mortals. Weaknesses: fatally allergic to crosses, daylight, and water. Quirks: faces become easily recognized when preparing to feed. Method of Turning: venomous bite. Available Characters: Original only. Rayne is taken.

Common Vampire
Origin: Jungles of South America, late 1600s Strengths: extreme strength. Impervious to all non-silver weapons or slicing in two horizontally. can reproduce naturally intraspecies. Weaknesses: fatally allergic to: sunlight, garlic, silver, coagulants, holy water, holy sacrament, titanium. Quirks: Turning may not be permanent. Method of Turning: venomous bite. Available Characters: originals only.

Origin: Roanoak Colony. First individual, Thomas Avery. Strengths: levitation, extreme speed and strength. Vulnerable only to beheading/incineration. Mover. Weaknesses: none known. Quirks: red eyes. Method of Turning: vein-to-vein blood transfusion. Available Characters: none. Other individuals: Victoria Avery

Draculean.
Origin: Unknown but might be ancient greek. Strengths: Can have an Affinity or power of any kind. Weaknesses: Can die like a human and only lives for up to 800 years. Or their bodies reject the change which there is no cure for. Quirks: The race is very matriarchal. Method of Turning: Being Tracked and Marked with an out line of a cresent moon then after 4 years, they complete the change. Available Characters:Any from the House Of Night series.

Imprint: What happens between a Marked Vampyre and Human. The bite from the vampyre releases endorphins which causes strong sexual urges and great pleasure between the two and can lead to an extremely strong bond.It can also happen with fledgelings and humans although its rare. Nyx:The Goddess Of Night. Priestess: Follower of Nyx and Her servant. Sons Of Erebus: Male vampyres who guard the High Priestesses. Erebus: Consort and Warrior of Nyx, also her eternal mate. Elements: The 5 elements allways summoned in a circle to represent the directions and Nyx. Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Spirit. Dark Daughters and Dark Sons:Exclusive group at each House Of Night. The Dark Daughter leader is allways in training to become a High Priestess.

The Brightfang
Origin: 20,000 years ago, America, first vampire Wendig Strengths: Can emit screeches that can't be heard but produce hallucinations. Probably the fasted breed of vampire. Produce an electronic field that some can control, Multiple ways of feeding. start out extremely strong and mellow out a little taking the strength of a werewolf. paralyzing venom that induces waking (or sleeping) nightmares. A Horror form. Razor sharp claws. Rapid healing. Weaknesses: The Brightfang is Technically still alive and thus mortal wounds can render them inactive for a period of time while they heal. However Consecrated weapons can fully kill them. Entering consecrated ground they feel unease and are sapped of their vampire strength. Holy entities act as a cure and are often avoided. Removal of the head has proven a good way to permanently immobilize a Brightfang however once the head is brought close enough they heal and can begin moving within 30 minutes. Consecrated water has proven to be like poison to the Brightfang of younger ages. Feeding style: Brightfang feed in one of Three ways depending on preference and age. The majority use a pair of long slim fangs that are slimmer than the average vampire fangs. However older vampires have razor sharp teeth that can rip into a victims flesh. The lower number use Cilia that seek out the adrenaline in a person. Hunting patterns: A Brightfangs feeding style often reveals it's stage in life. Fledgling Brightfang often enjoy Ambush tactics, the favored tactic is using an attractive appearance to draw in a victim. The Omega Brightfang enjoy using a mixed set of tactics to feed on groups or more threatening prey, often times chasing hunters around for hours to toy with them. Alpha Brightfang can and will run their prey to the ground before feeding from them, this is becouse they find it harder to sit still for prolonged periods. The oldest vampires feed on groups of people to get more adrenaline and keep themselves alive. Quirks: Have a set of four legendary sire lines with other lines being considered lesser, Feeds on Adrenaline filled blood. They Grow more Hyperactive with age. Live to only be about 5000 before their heart stops. technically still alive with the soul intact. Method of Turning: Being drained of adrenaline with their venom in your system. this is stopped when the head is severed or there is some adrenaline left.
General Info: The brightfang enter four stages of life leading to desiccation. The first stage is the fledgling and it lasts until 101. The second stage is the Omega stage and this lasts until 401. The third stage is the Alpha stage and is often something most Brightfang fear entering and lasts until 1000 years of age. The final stage is the Ancient stage and most Brightfang remove themselves from society at this point as they lose their youthful forms becoming permanent horrors. Brightfang blood has proven have unique effects on normal vampire in that it grants them increased speed and reflexes, however it also renders them more suggestible to the Brightfang they have fed upon.
