He gently took her face in his hands, and as he did, the pain subsided. It was just minor enough that it could have been psychological. He gently took her in his arms, holding her.

Lilah looked at him, her grey eyes wide, her red hair a tangled mess. She buried her face into him as he held her, her body shaking softly. "I-Is he...?" she didn't need to finish, she choked slightly on her tears. She curled herself up, the sheer nightgown hardly concealing her, except the dark of the room was at her aid. It concealed how badly the welts were, and where her brand was upon her thigh.

He nodded, helping her to her feet and supporting her to her bedchamber.

Lilah walked easily, but there was a slight give on her branded leg. There always was. She sighed and whispered softly. "Thank you," she murmured to him.

Once she was in bed, he turned and left, but only waited until she had fallen asleep. The moment she slept, he bathed her in holy light, healing all her injuries, including the brand on her thigh.

Lilah drifted into a fitful sleep, but once she was healed, her breathing evened out and she fell into a calm darkness.

Lilah was up with the sun, out walking in her garden. She wore a simple gown today, nothing flashy or something that would draw attention to herself. She merely walked, letting herself ponder over how her scar and muscle damage had simply disappeared from her thigh. She was thoroughly confused, and as she walked, some limbs of small trees behind her began to curl and twist, gnarling up as her hidden ability twisted them.

Marcus approached her from the other direction. "You're looking healthy today. Ready to do some riding?"

Lilah glanced at him, her hand falling from the trunk of a tree and she smiled. "Healthy as opposed to how I looked whenever near my husband? And I believe some riding would do me some good," she said, nodding in agreement and walking to his side. She knew it would help to clear her head, at least.

Marcus nodded and headed toward the stables. Messenger was already waiting there. Along the way they met the army Lieutenant.
"Ah. Congratulations on your promotion, Captain. Would you kindly gather a few teams to head to the borders. We desperately need border patrols. Preferable men who prefer lighter armor, hunters who are good at blending in with their surroundings. We need rangers who can strike from stealth."

Lilah walked with him, hearing Tremor neighing and whinnying already. His heavy hooves hit the ground roughly and he snorted as he spotted Lilah. She excused herself politely and headed over, petting the horses head and speaking softly to him, soothing the stallion.

Once the orders had been acknowledged, Marcus headed over to the stables. There, he patted Warbanner on the neck and started getting him ready. The guards arrived who would be riding with them, two for each of them, as two were the lord and lady, and the other two were noble messengers.
((Don't forget Jonathan.))
Marcus led Warbanner out, as there was no way he could mount the horse inside the stables, then mounted. Messenger walked alongside them to the gates.
"I shall head North. Lilah, you head South. Messenger, West. Jonathan, ride East and spread the message." He looked around. "Godspeed, and safe travels." He murmured something, and the horse leaped forward. Messenger took off running.

Jonathan followed Lilah out as she lead Tremor out with only the touch of her hand. The stallion would follow her anywhere. He trotted slightly in place, in anticipation for her to mount, which she did. And she didn't ride side-saddle, like a lady should, but found it easier to ride and control when she was completely straddled. Looking towards Marcus, she nodded, and took off towards the South, knowing exactly where she would be going.
Jonathan bowed before he took off at an easy run. He didn't wish to run out of steam right off the bat, so he would pace himself as he knew he could, to spread the message to the East, where the hunters tended to reside.

One thing that caught their eyes was Messenger easily keeping pace with the trotting horses of his escort.
About an hour later, Lord Marcus reached the first settlement and informed the people.
((How do they react?))
