Jasmine felt her heart beat quicken. She still was worried. Except for the voice bit, it was definitely was Twili. "Anything else we will have to worry about? Like they suck the lives out of you?" She asked in a joke.

"No, though the Goa'uld have healing devices that allow the host to live as long as the parasite. The sarcophagus does weaken the host's mind with every use."

"And yet, as I stated before, this isn't a tomb." Jasmine said to him patiently. A bit of edge (Ani), however, began to creep up in her voice. "There are so far no sarcophagi and no canopic jars. If anything, this actually would be more close to a temple than a tomb. My notes that you so kindly changed without permission stated that as well."

"Yes, they did. And Goa'uld always had one sarcophagus in their homes. Not the crude stone constructs made by their worshipers, but technological marvels closer to beds."
"And they are not made of stone", Teal'c added.

Jasmine shook her head in exasperations. She raised her hand and made sure that her notes were copywrited in case they tried to claim it as their own work. They were the experts, she was not, but something in her soul told her that they were wrong. Carefully she turned away om them and went back into the...place. In the privacy of the dark halls she breathed in feeling calmed and her hands gently rubbed her stomach. Her eyes closed as she tilted her head back.

The team followed her, discussing quietly with Micah.
"Any doors you haven't gone through yet?"
"One. At a hall of statues. The chamber was filled with toxic fumes when we entered."
"level two," Mitchell ordered, starting to shrug out of his day pack.
"Not necessary," Micah said. "We left one of our men inside, so the trigger won't have reset. This way.
When they got to the door it was firmly sealed. Teal'c inspected the walls on either side until he found a symbol identical to the brand on his forehead. Reaching out with thumb and two fingers, he... Twisted it. For a moment, nothing happened, then the doors slid open. Inside was a sarcophagus. It wasn't the rough stone burial crypt used by the Egyptians. This one was larger, made of a golden metallic material, and had enough room on top of the space for an occupant to fit the life support tech Dr Jackson had mentioned.
"Well, shit." Mitchell looked past the others. "And here I was getting my hopes up."

Jasmine turned her head away from the room. She stubbornly hated the feeling that she was wrong. Not to mention how much she hated people who treated her inferiorly because she was wrong. It also didn't help that her emotions were haywire due to being pregnant. Ani silently offered to attack them for her but she declined against it immediately.

The air force team spread out around the sarcophagus, drawing their serpentine weapons. Jackson looked to her. "Sorry. If it helps, I still agree with you that this was probably a home. Would you like the honors?" He indicated a large serpent symbol at the head of the sarcophagus, again identical to Tealc's brand.

Jasmine looked at Jackson and then at the symbol. She was slightly afraid to touch it because of Ani. However she didn't want to squander the opportunity. Her hand carefully reached out and touched the mark.

It moved, twisting under her hand. Slowly, the lid of the sarcophagus split down the middle, and the two halves pivoted open. After a moment, the person resting inside sat up. But who was it?
((I was thinking her mother would make a nice twist))

Jasmine gasped seeing the woman. Her hand went to her lips as Ani recognized the woman. "Lanayru." She said.

All but Teal'c lowered their zatnikatils (the serpentine sidearms).
"Who?" Mitchell asked.
"Put it down, Teal'c," Vala said, "She isn't Goa'uld."

Jasmine went and took his hand. Her eyes closed as Rajani transferred thoughts to him. Very small snippets of her mother, Lanayru, were transferred to him. The being looked exactly like the statues from the antechamber.

He pulled away, started, but Dr Jackson had already figured it out. "Highness. Welcome back. It has been more than 3000 years," he said in fluent ancient Egyptian. Given here location, he deduced that she would be familiar with men like Teal'c, servants, soldiers, and enforcers for the Goa'uld parasites that, in human bodies, posed as gods to subjugate and enslave the people of earth. Eventually, perhaps before she laid down for her long slumber, the people of Egypt had revolted, successfully driving the false gods off the planet. This happened just before the reign of the first pharaoh.

Lanayru sat up and looked up at him. Her eyes looked around and rested upon Jasmine. "Yes it has." She said.
