You've heard the stories told about deep in the dark woods haven't you? Thats where she stayed, in the place where most nightmares are held, where children dare not go because of the stories that say the forest will eat your soul.
Long ago back in the days where sword fighting and war was happening, the forest was silent. Thorn's grandfather had finally died. The last stone was set for his grave that night. It took all day to finish the burial but it was now complete and her last living family could rest in peace. Tears flowed down her cheeks as a whisper of prayer came from her lips. She turned and was off. The wind rushed by as she ran back to her wooden shelter.
she lived like the olden days where you hunted your food to survive. Her cloths handmade of leather clung to her when she buried her grandfather in the earth where he belonged.
wiping away the tears that fell. It seemed so empty now, the place was silent, the only noise that was heard was the silent whimper coming from Timber. The wooden cabin started to get colder it was finally turn to dark. Thorn put the wood in the fire place and lit it with the flint. the flames flickered and danced as if her only family member left never died.
"Just you and me now wolf." she said softly. the brown and gray animal curled next to her and laid his head in her lap. She quietly fell asleep there.
The sun shone through the window, morning had come at last. sitting in a tree far off from her cabin she waited for her meal. bow and arrow at the ready she saw her prey. the poor deer never new it had it coming. jumping down she quickly skinned it set up the fire and had breakfast.
she whistled a tune as she fed some meat to her companion.
The wolf ate the meat joyfully until it heard something in the forest. getting in battle stance he growled in the direction the sound came from. a woman, apeared out fom behind a tree.
"greetings Thorn." she said in a voice that sounded like singing. the woman was tall, wearing a long white dress that the dirt could not touch. her eyes were black with a hint of white caressing the outer pupil.
"my child it is time, for you to grow to what you must become." Thorn immedaitly fell in love with her voice, the way she spoke, it enchanted her. She lifted her self from the ground and touched the hand that was held out to her. taking it in her own she kissed it and left a green tint over her lips.
"Now my child, rest." she said dreamingly.
Thorn immedaitly fell asleep. as she did the ground shook, plants grew to encase Thorn into their vines. it grew higher and higher until she was trapped in a tree made of elven wood.
"So long you shall be trapped in there, my child...but do not fear, when you wake, it will be a new age of men that shall set you free..." the woman disapeared into the forest.
centuries have past.
It is now the age, where metal, has started taking over the land. our new goddess has yet to be awaken in this new world. the modern age is now.
