She pushed the last box into the open door of the small cabin. It was on the edge of a lake, known for it's thunderstorms, and it was surrounded by trees. That was exactly what Tabi needed, she'd decided before she'd left the city. She could still model here in Michigan, it would just be a bit of a drive to the main location building. She pushed her dark hair from her face and tilted her gaze up towards the sky. It looked like it was going to be a long night, but thankfully, there wasn't a full moon for a few more days. She could live normally, with her memory, for a few more nights.
Stepping back inside her home, she walked over and opened up some windows to air the place out. It opened into a living room, wide and spacious, with one wall mainly consisting of the stone fireplace. On the right was a large staircase, leading up to a loft that overlooked the living space. Behind the staircase was the kitchen section, and the bathroom was upstairs with a small spare bedroom. Yes, it was smaller than most places, but she didn't need anything big. She simply needed a home.
She brushed her hands off on her old jeans, one of the few pairs left, and she began to unpack her boxes slowly. Setting down a rug in front of the couch that faced the fireplace, there was a small television in the corner that wasn't up to date at all. She began to unload simple things at first, and then she knew she'd get into the more detailed stuff. Decorations and things of that nature.
As she worked she hummed, something that she did when needing to keep her busy mind occupied. She straightened her slightly dirtied, white shirt as she reached up to place some books on a built in bookshelf in the loft. This place, hopefully, would be a more permanent home.
