"I will place you in charge of a separate flock then." He said knowing he was to follow his sister. "If anything you will not go near her. I plan to include her with possible trades."

He tilted his head curiously. "I would not make a good shepherd. Sheep dog, however... Include her how?"

The eldest looked at him curiously. "Include her in a trade if one of the traders wish." He said simply. "After all, that's what she is good for. And not to mention the flock she has is our best therefore her dowry. This trip is to see her married well."

"Ah." To assuage Sachem's curiosity, he shifted into a sleek hound with silvery fur.

A dog looked up at him and carefully walked to his side. It gave a sniff and then looked up at Sachem. "Well, you better go to the fields then and bring the sheep that scattered back." He said.

The iron dog gave a single melodious bark before bounding off to round up the sheep. He quickly herded them all toward the shepherdess.

Lyvea looked at the dog with a questioning look. She had never seen it before and she was slightly afraid.

It barked once, and winked at her as the Las she's fell in with the rest of the flock. Once it was done, he shifted back into his human form. "My apologies. Sachem seems to think I was given life to be his servant." A gold coin suddenly appeared in his hand, which he flipped between his fingers. "How much would your freedom be worth to him?"

Lyvea looked at him curiously. She had never thought herself as a slave. "Sachem is the leader of our camp since our father passed on to the stars." She said. Her hands carefully pulled her scarf up over her head, hiding her hair. It was most unbecoming for a woman to show such things to a man.

He frowned. "So being a leader makes him better than you? More important? I came from the stars. There, all are equal."

Lyvea looked at him and sighed. "NO it doesn't make him better than me. It means I listen to what he says and does as he wish." She said. "And why do you care? You were told not to be with me." Her eyes looked at him pointedly. Of course it wasn't right for her to be speaking to him as such. But he was different.

"He told me not to, but I'm not so easily commanded. Excuse me, I need to go speak with him." With that, he morphed into the iron dog and Lopez back to Sachem's tent.

Lyvea sighed and felt her mother walk up. She knew that she was watching. "Either he is foolish or and idiot. I don't know which one. But he is a very handsome guy." she told her.
Sachem looks at the man. "What is it you wish to talk about now?" He asked him.

He shifted human again, a very small smile on his lips. "Payment for my services."

"Help us get to where we need to be, and I assure you that you will be paid." Sachem said. "As you can see we are almost finished being packed up so I can't possibly pay you right now." He breathed in and rolled his shoulders. "I asked you to keep away from my sister." He said. "She is well protected."
